How Does IT work?

PACKAGE SELECTION: You start by choosing one of our Packages that best meets your needs. Visit our Packages & Services section for package descriptions.

CUSTOMIZATION: After choosing a package you can peruse our Customization section to see picnic styling & location options as well as food, beverage, & enhancement options to add on for additional cost.

BOOKING: In the booking process click on your package of choice and on any customization options you’d like to add on including: menu items, enhancements, and additional guests. You will also see a calendar with available dates and times. Once you make your selections, there is a questionnaire to provide us additional details for your picnic, like styling choice, dietary restrictions, etc. Payment in full is due to confirm your picnic date.

AFTER BOOKING: Once you book The Packed Picnic, you will receive an email confirmation with location suggestions to review. We will be in contact with you to finalize location, details, and options within 48 hours of booking. The week of your event, we monitor weather and check back in to finalize plans.

PICNIC DAY: On the day of your event, we arrive 30 minutes-2 hours prior to your event to set up depending on package and send you a final location text. You will receive another text 10 minutes before your picnic start time to let you know the picnic is ready for you so that you can begin your picnic right at your booking time. We wait in the wings (as to not spoil any possible surprises) for you to arrive.

Once you arrive, we leave the vicinity for the set package time then return for the clean up. You will get a courtesy text 10 minutes before the end of your event or are free to text us if you’d like to end your event early. We require that you stay with the picnic set up until we arrive to clean up.

What IF I have more than 12 guests?

We have the ability to accommodate up to 30 guests for our Classic Packages and up to 36 guests for our Packed Packages. Please reach out to us about booking large events.

What IF I Do Not see a date or time I would like to Book?

The Packed Picnic Company maintains set weekly hours for booking. However, please contact us if you have a date or time in mind and we will try to accommodate to the best of our abilities.

How far do you Travel?

The Packed Picnic Company travels within a 12 mile radius of our location in Wauwatosa, WI and two set locations in Waukesha outside of this radius. However, please contact us if you have a location outside this area in mind to get a travel quote.

What Happens if the Weather Doesn’t Cooperate?

In the event of inclement weather (rain, severe storms, severe temperatures, or catastrophic events) The Packed Picnic will change to an indoor picnic (within greater Milwaukee area) or reschedule. It is a preference that these decisions be made 48 hours before the event date. The Packed Picnic Company does not offer refunds for weather-related changes. If a picnic needs to be cancelled due to weather within 48 hours of the event, charcuterie boards can be delivered (within the greater Milwaukee area) and you'll have a picnic credit for the amount of the package selected for a future rescheduled date.

Can I Bring My own Food and Beverages?

Yes! Our Packed Picnic Packages have all the picnic essentials and you are free to bring your own food and beverages. We have options to add-on food and beverages provided by local partners that will be delivered with your picnic set up. The Packed Picnic Company does not provide any alcoholic beverages. You are free to bring your own, but please adhere to park rules regarding alcohol carry-ins and consumption.

WHat if an additional Guest Attends that I didn’t pay for?

No biggie, but your guest will not have a table setting or perhaps a designated place to sit. We recommend booking your picnic to accommodate all expected guests, but totally get that friends might drop in!

What if I need to reschedule or Cancel?

The Packed Picnic Company does not offer refunds once booked, but you can reschedule without penalty up to 48 hours in advance of your first scheduled event. If less than 48 hours notice, you'll have a picnic credit for the amount of the package selected, less any food & beverage costs (you are able to pick up your food & beverage items at the exact time and location already scheduled), for a future reservation up to one year from your first scheduled event. If you book and do not show for the event, The Packed Picnic Company has the right to retain the entire amount paid at checkout.

What Are your Covid-19 Precautions?

The Packed Picnic Company is committed to caring for the health and well-being of our customers and partners. Picnic set up items are disinfected at picnic set up and during clean up, including the washing of all blankets and napkins between picnics. In addition, all of our table settings and drinkware are single use items and will be disposed of after each picnic event.
